On Friday, October 16, this year NGO “Ecosphere” and the National Ecological Center of Ukraine will hold a workshop, where they will present opportunities for identification, mapping and assessment of ecosystems and their services, as well as their use in conducting EIA and SEA of hydropower programs and projects. Participants will be informed about the current concept of river basin ecosystem services and European tools for their assessment. The results of the pilot assessment for the Uzh River Basin will be presented and the experience of applying the ecosystem approach in other Eastern Partnership countries will be highlighted.

Representatives of public organizations, scientists, teachers, students, representatives of government agencies in the field of water resources management, hydropower, media and other interested parties are invited to participate.
