On October 19, the first online seminar “Sustainable Development of the Carpathian Region” was held as part of the project “Education for Sustainable Development: Sharing the Experience of V4 Countries for the Recovery of Ukraine”.

At the beginning of the event, Ruslan Havryliuk, Head of the National Ecological Center of Ukraine, made an introductory speech.

Valerii Mykhailenko and Mykola Blyzniuk were the experts of the event.

In his presentation, Valeriy Mykhaylenko highlighted the topic of sustainable development, in particular the aspects of education for sustainable development and the importance of the prospects of this topic.

Mykola Blyzniuk presented the Kosiv division and the Carpathian School project.

The expert also shared his thoughts on the steps that can improve the national and international professional network of ideas and developments of the Carpathian School between academic, public and business structures, which will make education a key mechanism for sustainable development.

The presentations were followed by a lively discussion, during which the participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the experts and exchange views with others.

The event was attended by students, civic activists, academics and representatives of NGOs.
