On 8–12 December 2025, the seventh session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7) will take place at the headquarters of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) in Nairobi. World leaders will gather to discuss the theme:“Advancing sustainable solutions for a resilient planet.”
As part of the preparations, we invite civil society representatives and stakeholders to join the Regional Consultation Meeting for the European Region, which will be held online:
- 🗓 First session: 3 October 2025, 10:00–14:00 CEST
- 🗓 Second session: 6 October 2025, 9:00–12:00 CEST
What to expect?
The meeting is open to representatives of the nine Major Groups from across Europe, as well as selected non-accredited organisations that follow UNEA processes.
- First session (3 October): introduction to the UNEA-7 roadmap, review of the draft Ministerial Declaration and draft resolutions (with governments’ submission deadline on 29 September 2025).
- Second session (6 October): presentation of the outcomes of the European Regional Youth Days (Children and Youth Major Group) and parallel group discussions on key messages for each resolution/thematic cluster.
European Regional Youth Days – On the Road to UNEA-7

- host interactive workshops and training sessions on UNEP and UNEA processes;
- present the European Regional Youth Manifesto;
- prepare participants for the second Regional Consultation Meeting on 6 October.
